There are several aspects of this film that I found extremely enjoyable: Its terrific animation, the beautiful vocal performances of all the actors involved, and its irresistible imaginative charm. Usually in Hollywood they start with an inventive film with a gud storyline, earn pots of money and water down the idea through sequels, until the cash dies. This is especially common in animation, where young audiences can be exploited almost endlessly. Fox has reversed the process with "Ice Age." This baby's got more fun, topicality, intelligence and appeal. There are some wonderful moments of nutty entertainment, some truly wacky moments, such as the the sacrificial fire pit and the vulture "food" numbers. Sloth is still my fav character in Ice Age purely because he manages to make me laugh at nearly everything he says... I mean he just looks funny. It's a total laugh riot and an ecological message is wonderfully blended in...This is the funniest part:
Sid: Manny, who do you like better, me or Diego?
Manny: Diego. No contest.
Ellie: Manny, you can't pick favorites

Manny: He's not my kid. He's not even my dog. If my dog had a kid, and that kid had a pet, that would be Sid.
Sid: Manny, can I have a dog?
Manny: No
Sid: Ellie, can I have a dog?
Ellie: Sure, sweetie.
Manny: Ellie, we have to be consistent with them!
I really enjoyed the movie...now it's ur turn...
until then.
