Snickers Rulz!!!

I am sitting here eating a bar of snickers coz i'm so hungry and thinking what to write in my blog today...And then it struck me, y not write on snickers. I mean we must have eaten it bout tons of times but how many of us really know the history of this amazingly yummy chocolate.

I love eating dark chocolate..mmmmmm... Snickers is one of the chocolate bars that I like.Correction make that LOVE. It's not dark chocolate but it's simply amazing. So here i go with it's history -Snickers actually are made by Mars. It was introduced to Mars range of products in 1930. Snickers was named after one of the horses that was owned by the family. In UK it was called Marathon until 1990 when the name was changed to Snickers.

Snickers has a layer of nougat which is like a paste, on top of this layer is a mixture of caramel and roasted peanuts and this is topped with milk chocolate that forms an outer layer.ok i'm already salivating....sry guys....but this is one chocolate i love a lot.. You get it in various sizes too...go have sum urself...

And if you wanna know the history of chocolates....well i'll post that sum other time....till then laters...

Anatomy of "Live-In" relationships

Like any other thing in the world livin-in relationships too have their pro's and cons...as a young gurl i used to look forward into getting in a live-in relationship...who wud'nt after hearing all those jokes bout commitment and how the sacrement of marriage sucks. But as i grown i've realised something - it's a male dominated world in some matters no matter how much we women try.
I would like to point out, and very firmly too, that live-in relationships maybe a "fad" in the western world but thankfully it is "not catching" in India..The model of heterosexual, monogamous marriage is sanctioned by society, religion and the law as the only acceptable type of sexual relationship. We in India are so heavily socialized to believe in the ideals of monogamy and marriage that many ppl cannot even imagine any other option. Yeh right think bout ur parents forcing u'll to marry once u complete 25 yrs.
Yes, we do hear and see of a few, very few stray cases but on the whole the strong interwoven fabric of morality and family values that is our pride and strength, still prevails and will hopefully continue to do so.
This increasing trend of live-in relationships, best observed in the west, favours the male member in the relationship. It's like why buy a cow when milk is readily available?? There is no commitment on his part. But what about the female member in the live-in relationship?
Disillusionment with love, single motherhood, social unacceptability and many times, she maybe the receiver of sexually transmitted diseases topped by devastating AIDS.
And spare a thought for the children who are the "fruit"of such relationships - they are scarred and traumatized for life; unfortunate offspring of an unfortunate couple of an unfortunate relationship.
The main claim of live-in relationships is that it does not bind the partners with "chains" of marriage. Actually there exists no chains in marriage. It is threads, hundreads of tiny threads which sew ppl together through the years. That is what makes a marriage last -more than passion or even sex.
